Surveillance Station software is NOT included with DSM7, it's an additional package you have to download, and only has 2 free licences, that's all you get. Surveillance Station with the total package cost is cheaper than any point in the past.

The total cost has fallen so far now the only complaint left is 'Synology won't give away free software' sorry it's still a better quality option than others.

10 years ago was much higher entry to get security cameras (quality cameras with an NVR, drives and software). The total cost to run security cameras is cheaper cameras + device + drives + software. You're so short sighted you didn't understand what I'm telling you.
